Welcome to
PIAUGIER
We are winegrowers based in Sablet, at the heart of the renowned Dentelles de Montmirail range, in the Vaucluse region of the southern Rhône Valley.
A Family Estate, passed down through generations
Our estate is first and foremost a family story, handed down from one generation to the next. After Marc Autran, who followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather Alphonse, Jean-Marc and Sophie took over the estate in 1985, driven by the desire to preserve its heritage while allowing it to evolve. Today, their eldest daughter, Maude, has joined them to continue this family adventure and help write its next chapter.

Our estate extends across a mosaic of soils and hillside exposures, between Sablet and Gigondas.
Day after day, we cultivate our vines with one guiding principle: to preserve what makes this place unique — the diversity of its terroirs —, vineyard parcels and grape varieties.

This diversity shapes every decision we make, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. We farm organically, working in harmony with nature and seeking to support the vine rather than control it.
We devote particular care to our old vines, maintaining them through careful replanting wherever possible. At the same time, we continue to shape the future of the estate through gradual new plantings each year. This measured approach allows us to prepare for tomorrow while preserving the balance and identity of our vineyards.
Grenache, the backbone of our wines.
Grenache has always been the cornerstone of our wines, but we are equally passionate about the rich diversity of Rhône grape varieties. We continue to experiment with new plantings, particularly Cinsault and Counoise, broadening our palette and inspiring new perspectives.
From vineyard to cellar, every decision is guided by the same ambition: to express the true character of our terroirs with honesty and to craft vibrant, authentic wines that remain faithful to their origin.
